Thanks to the generosity of Charles and Ann Simms, a new carillon will ring at St. Paul's this fall. The original bell system rang for almost 40 years but went silent a few years ago when the technology became unserviceable. The gift from Mr. and Mrs. Simms will restore a tradition of the sound of bells ringing in and outside the church.
The digital carillon, to be installed by Chime Master® out of Lancaster, Ohio, will be able to call our community to worship with hymns, peals and tolls from a keyboard in the chancel or automatically on a set schedule. We will hear the bells for the first time at the Parish Picnic on September 12 and they will be dedicated later in the fall.
